National Pavilion of Slovakia officially opened
On the first day of the MEBLE POLSKA 2026 trade fair, the official opening of the Slovak National Pavilion took place, serving as an important presentation of the potential of the Slovak furniture sector and export promotion efforts under the “Proud Furniture from Slovakia” brand.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Andrea Elscheková-Matisová, SARIO (Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency) Director General Egon Zorad, as well as representatives of the MTP Group—President Robert Wielicki and Vice President Filip Bittner.
The Slovak furniture industry is one of the country’s most well-established and export-oriented sectors. It is built on high-quality timber resources, strong craft traditions, modern technologies, and the country’s strategic location in the heart of Europe. The “Proud Furniture from Slovakia” campaign emphasizes three pillars of Slovak production: exceptional quality, sustainability, and distinctive design.
The Slovak National Pavilion at MEBLE POLSKA 2026 was prepared with the support of SARIO as part of a national export support project aimed at strengthening the global competitiveness and international recognition of Slovak companies.
The pavilion features 11 exhibitors representing the best of Slovak furniture-making—companies valued for their flexibility, craftsmanship, top quality, and strong commitment to sustainability.
